Keyence VR-3200 Profilometer

Using the 3D-Profilometer VR-3200 from the company Keyence, a measurement of probes and tools is possible, using the fringe projection principle. This optical process is particularly suited because of the contactless recording, which enables surfaces to be measured faster than using the tactile measuring method. The device can be used to carry out macroscopic measurements of components and their three-dimensional representations. Through the comparison of measurement data, insight about changes in the geometry of worn tools can be gained. Furthermore, in the high magnification mode, the device can be used to carry out optical recordings to characterise surfaces.
