“Process-integrated lubrication in sheet metal forming“
In his work, Philipp Müller focused on the integration of lubrication directly into the sheet metal forming process, which was realised through the use of additively manufactured tools with integrated lubrication channels. With the help of this technology, he was able to sustainably improve tribological conditions - the interaction of friction, wear and lubrication - and significantly reduce wear.
The dissertation is based on the successful EFB project “Prozessintegrierte Schmierung im Folgezug“, for which Philipp Müller was awarded the EFB Project Prize 2024. This award emphasises the high industrial relevance of his work and the practical applications of his findings.
