The European Research Association for Sheet Metal Processing e.V. (EFB) honours every year young engineering scientists who work on and complete an EFB project in an outstanding manner, in regard to the scientific character and project management. With Dipl.-Ing. Hendrik Vogt for the project "Tailored Tempering of 7xxx aluminium alloys" and Dipl.-Ing. Chris Pfeffer for the project "Use of air-hardening chromium steels for the production of thin-walled sheet metal parts", two scientific employees of the Institute of Forming Technology and Machines were awarded in 2021. The award ceremony took place on July 1st during the online conference "ForumBLECH im web".
The awards underline the scope and competence of the institute in the field of process development of lightweight technologies. We would like to thank the EFB as well as all companies involved in the project for the successful cooperation.
