Abstract

The digitalisation and automation of process chains offers great potential in hot forging to efficiently increase output,-reduce scrap, and reduce energy input. This paper presents new approaches for inline geometry measurement of tools and components using the example of the tailored forming process chain and derives from it both control parameters for upstream and downstream processes as well as digital substi-tute models.
