Abstract

The acquisition of data during the hot forging process is cur-rently a major challenge. Therefore, this paper presents a uni-versally applicable system for measuring and recording the temperatures of the billet and dies, forging forces and stroke paths. Using an exemplary demonstrator process, it is shown how 10 kHz of recorded data of a single stroke as well as of a whole forging series can be used for further analyses.
