The 24th Forming Technology Colloquium Hanover (UKH) took place on 13 and 14 March at the Hanover Centre for Production Technology (PZH). The two-day event focused intensively on the topics of bulk metal forming and sheet metal forming, which were examined in detail by experts and participants.
The two days of the event focussed on solid and sheet metal forming. In very exciting presentations from science and industry, there was a lot of talk and discussion about innovative processes, systems and materials in forming technology, the design, layout and optimisation of processes, advances in numerical simulation and innovative forming technology manufacturing processes.
The participants were also able to visit the Institute for Forming Technology and Machines (IFUM) and the new “Scale” research building with its equipment to gain a deeper insight into the research and development work in Hanover.
In addition to the presentations, there was also an industrial and poster exhibition, which proved very popular. The presentations from SFB 1153 "Tailored Forming" and SFB 1368 "Oxygen-free Production" were very well attended. They provided insights into ground-breaking research projects.
On Wednesday evening, participants had the opportunity to round off the day with a relaxed evening event on campus.
